Sun and Moon Salutation (Fri 5:30-7:30 p.m.)
Throughout centuries, yogis have initiated the days and practices with the traditional Sun and Moon Salutation. We regard these two primal energy as the source of our daily life. In this workshop, Katerina shares the sequence and technique to execute the practice in ways that is fluid, powerful and rejuvenating.
Breath, the flow of life and grace (Saturday 9-12 a.m.)
The essence of our hatha yoga takes on a greater beauty when it is integrated with breath articulation. The workshop offers breathing techniques and artful vinyasa sequences that brings you to a place of strength and grace.
Partner Yoga Saturday (Saturday 2-4:30)
The workshop offers techniques and options for partner work. You will learn many fun partner collaborations that support your body to release and go deeper into poses. The workshop will conclude with a partner mediation and inner work from the tantric tradition. Join us for this fun workshop. Bring your own partner or come alone. (all levels)
Bhakti Vinyasa (Sunday, 2-4:30 p.m.)
Like everything in life, Yoga is a gift to humanity, given by the Creators. Therefore, we are nourished when we remember and hold the highest appreciation for the Divine. This one-pointed devotional focus is the root of Bhakti. Tradition teaches that the yogi is purified by the intensity of his/her devotional fire. The class typically begins with a short lecture to inspire your reconnection to the Divine Essence. This vinyasa practice is fluid and creative, with an emphasis on heart opening and spinal strength.

Teen Yoga Series with Liz Doyle
Oct 12 - Nov 9, 2008
Yoga for Teens!
Strength, balance and power!
Course Description:
Our teen yoga class is a guided flow of Asanas (poses) in combination with breath work and deep concentration. During this process, teens often develop a clearer attention, better body awareness and a greater sense of self-confidence. By discovering the inner resources within, teens are more equipped to deal with the dynamic & challenging experiences of daily life.
One of the noticeable benefits of this practice is the overall well being of physical health. In particular, yoga can be a great support for the maturation of the inner organs and stretching will also reduce common growing pains. Adolescents begin to feel more comfortable within their own skin as they develop physical strength, endurance, and flexibility. This vigorous routine provides teenagers with an alternative way to redirect their spurts of energy and offers them a healthy and challenging way to experiment, to push boundaries and thus gain a sense of achievement.
This series is for 11yrs - 18yrs. No prior yoga experience or athletic experience is required to participate! Pre-registration is required.
Dates: 5 Sundays: Oct 12, Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2 & Nov 9
Time: 1pm - 2pm
Ages: 11yrs - 18yrs

Liz Doyle was inspired to become a yoga teacher because of the positive impact yoga had on her own life. She is inspired and encouraged by her current teacher, Katerina Wen, who also introduced her to Edward Clark and Andrey Lappa. Kathleen Hunt, with whom Liz completed her first teacher training, laid a solid foundation for Liz's practice and teaching. These are the people that kindle the fire of passion Liz has for sharing the many gems of yoga with her students. It's Liz's ardor for sharing the practice that keeps her ceaselessly learning all that she can to provide her students with the techniques that enable them to walk taller, feel better, move and play like a kid--in just a short time! Liz creates a supportive environment that cultivates more confidence and courage; and shares the tools to manage the ups, downs and imbalances of everyday life, and make a person happier. Liz's classes are fun and full of variety, with a strong flowing movement to keep the mind and body flexible and young. Come play!

Karma Vinyasa
Yogis for Social Change!
When our consciousness grows so tender, we strive to prevent
suffering and cease to avenge” ~Eleanor Roosevelt
Our Karma Vinyasa classes are donation-only classes that take place year round, usually occurring in celebration of major holidays, solstices and equinoxes. Established in 2003 by Seattle's own Katerina Wen, this practice involves gathering a community of yogis together for a ritualistic and inspiring vinyasa & meditation practice. Gathering together as a group generates a powerful positive vibration for the peace and healing of ourselves, our neighbors & our environment.
100% of the proceeds are donated to local and international non-profit children organizations. These programs provide amazing services to children in need and your small donation to Karma Vinyasa goes a very long way with these organizations. Some of our favorite organizations include:
War Child International
Mankindu Children’s Program
Power of Hope
Karma Vinyasa is suitable for all ages & levels of yoga practitioners who are familiar with basic asana poses. Yogi Way teachers & visiting Master Teachers donate their time to teach these classes without payment.Any and all donations are accepted and you will be provided with an email follow up that reports the total amount donated.
